New Super Mario Bros Wii (uh, Wii)

This was really awesome, it'll be fun trying to 100% it.

Did I remember to notch up 7 Days a Skeptic? Does it even count?

Have to wonder if I'll finish anything else new to me this year. I wanted to get back into Bioshock now that I have a new laptop, but I lost the CD key with my old hard drive...

Almost forgot! Last week sometime I finished Assassins Creed 2. Gotta say I thought it was brilliant, presently in the mix for GOTY with Uncharted 2 and Borderlands I think (unless I have forgotten some gold from earlier in the year!)

Pixeljunk Shooter

(really cool, but a bit easier/shorter to complete than other Pixeljunk games).

Times up! Joypads down everyone, someone will be around to collect your papers.

16 Jan - Spelunky (PC)
17 Jan - Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS)
13 Feb - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate (DS)
22 Feb - Flower (PS3)
09 Aug - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (DS)
04 Oct - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
15 Nov - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3)
28 Nov - Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
19 Dec - Pixeljunk Shooter (PS3)

9 games isn't very impressive, but I suppose it could have been worse. I have a couple of games pretty close to completion, but this happens every year. I'll aim to chalk those up in January next year.

Both of those Crystal Chronicles games were completed in four player mode. I really wish they would do more multiplayer FFCC games, but there doesn't seem to be any on the horizon.

I managed eight titles, tho' FFT was a big time-drain. Three of them were PS3 exclusives, but henceforward I'm tending to get games on 360 mainly because I prefer Gamerscore to Trophies!

Emmeline, I agree that it definitely makes sense to have a primary system with these online enabled consoles. If you're more 360 centric then you should stick with it.

I'm only getting 360 games if they're exclusive. I really dislike gamerscore, don't trust my 360 not to die again, and don't want to pay for XBL gold account.

gamerscore = ps3 trophies but i agree, there are too many folk too obsessed with their scores on XBL and having to pay for the same service as you get free on PS3 (but better and faster on ps3) is horrible

my main annoyance is that update packs seem to arrive later or not at all on ps3 which is a shame, you'd think they'd have this kind of crap sorted out by now

T Strife, are these the first time you're completing these games?

Yup - The Director's Cut of Broken Sword is cheating a bit, but everything on that list was a first time (yes, including S&K). Took me two years to finish Hotel Dusk.

I also played through all of Half-Life 2 and Deus Ex again, but didn't count them because of, well, rules.

That's cool, it's just surprising!

I still haven't completed Hotel Dusk either, and I'm currently working through Final Fantasy 9 which is almost a decade old.

I just completed Resident Evil 5 in 2009 year. It is really very interesting game and fun to play this game. I enjoy a lot this game.
I think this is addictive game for me because sometimes I play this game an hours. This is the best game I have ever played.

I like this bot. It's clever. It posts stuff that's relevant to the topic and hides its spam in its sig. Nice touch

Cave Story

I know I'm six years late, I hadn't realised it's so good! I figured I'd pick it up for free on Windows as there's the current buzz around the recent WiiWare port.

I'm most impressed with the story and the artwork. Part of me feels I really oughtn't care about humans being turned into critters against their will, and then drugged into slavering monsters at the design of an evil scientist. There may be only 200-500 words of description through character dialogue in the game, the themes and relationships are pure cliche, and it's so short and simple, but the effect was a strong attraction to the characters. Less is more.
